Hope you all had a great Summer, we’re back with a full events diary and only just over a month away from our tenth anniversary trip to Millau. We’ll be travelling with about 90 people from Bridlington and Driffield for our week in Millau and St.Affrique respectively. To introduce everybody we’ll be holding a trippers’ meeting at the Ransdale Hotel on the Promenade in Bridlington on Tuesday 9th October, starting at 7.30 pm. There is a bar and we will be have some sandwiches available. It would be great to see all those of you who are coming with us for an initial get together. Hope to see you there.

The Petanque has had a great Summer with many new members playing on a regular basis on the new pistes. To show our continuing support for the Petanque Club, we are holding a COFFEE MORNING at the PRIORY ROOMS next door to the church on Saturday 29th September. Members are invited to come along from 10.00 – 12.00 and any donations of Cakes etc. will be gladly received. Please come and drop in.

The BRIDLINGTON – MILLAU WEBSITE is now fully up and running including photos from our two great Summer events, the Garden Party and the Barn Dance. If you’re online then take a look at www.bridtwinning.supanet.com where you will also find all our Newsletters plus pages about the twinning and Millau.

One of our most popular events is the BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU night at the Forge in Sewerby on Thursday 15th November. As well as welcoming the new 2001 vintage to the UK, we have a fantastic menu which you can drool over in the Final Comment. Included in the price of £14.00 per person is a wine tasting. BOOK EARLY, we are limited to 55 places. Ring Barbara or Chris to reserve your places and see the menu in the FINAL COMMENT.
