Garden Party 24th June 2001
The Garden party was a huge success with over 100 members and friends enjoying the great weather, the garden, the stalls and the games. Just under £1000 was taken on the day and the photos below give a good impression of what the day was all about.
As always, the cake and jam stall proved to be a winner. Before everyone arrived, the garden was very calm, and then...........Cherry pip spitting proved to be very popular, but the record of 33ft. wasn't broken on the day, in spite of the galant efforts of the competitors.
Of course, many of the guests found time to relax and enjoy the sun, the food and the other stalls: splat the rat, white elephant and there were even volunteers to get soaked in the stocks.
